Hi! And apologies again for posting in English.

I'm having fun exploring my P2000T (I now have a Multirom and SD-Card from @Bertus on this forum). I recently got a second P2000T that's not working, but interestingly had a floppy controller attached (pictured). I've moved that into my working P2000T. I note that when it's installed, the machine says it has 39K rather than 14K when I turn it on, so I presume it has memory on it, and that works.

I was advised to boot into JWS Basic, which was on my Multirom, but I have no idea what to do next. Does anyone know what the floppy commands are under JWS Basic?

My plan is to see if I can get this controller working with a Shugart floppy disk emulator, such as a Gotek.

All help gratefully received!

First, you have to get a "floppy" (either a physical or virtual one) with JWS-DOS on it. Only then the floppycommands become active.

You can get this DOS e.g. from:

https://github.com/p2000t/software/tree/main/disks

Beware though, these files are incorrect: you have to copy track #2 to track #1 (the third 4K-block to the second block). If you don't the P2000 will keep resetting (because track #1 is empty).

To learn about the extra commands (yep, in Dutch):

https://github.com/p2000t/documentation/blob/main/software/JWS.pdf

This pdf is about version 3 while the DOS is version 5. I don't even exactly remember the differences, so go nuts trying it out.

Some new stuff in version 5 imo is:

- Support for all 4 Shugart drives, not just 1+2

- Reworked copy command

- Support for 80 track DD disks
